Are you ready to drive the development of critical control systems for autonomous UAV fleets? Six Robotics is seeking a visionary Team Lead to head our Ground Control Station (GCS) team, which is dedicated to advancing software solutions for drone swarm management in civilian and defense sectors. This role is crucial as our GCS forms the backbone for real-time strategic operations and communication with multiple UAVs.

About the role:

As the Team Lead for the GCS team, you will oversee the development of both backend and frontend systems that enable robust and intuitive control of drone swarms. Your leadership will guide the creation of a dynamic map-based interface and reliable backend architecture, ensuring seamless integration and communication between drones and their controllers. You will collaborate closely with the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) to ensure that our solutions meet the highest functionality and security standards.

Desired Qualifications:

  • B.Sc degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading development teams, preferably in an aerospace, defense, or technology-focused organization.

  • Strong proficiency in backend and frontend development technologies, including:

    • Experience with Python and javascript

    • Familiarity with React and node.js

    • Knowledge of Docker, C#, and .net8

    • Experience with rest API via asp.net core

    • Knowledge of websocket via SignalR is highly desirable

  • Familiarity with real-time systems and experience in developing interfaces for complex operational control.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English.

  • Ability to pass security clearance per the Norwegian Security Act, «Sikkerhetsloven.» to work with our defense clients.

  • Residence and work permit in Norway.
